Is equations 3x 2y 5 and 2x 3y 7 are consistent or inconsistent?

3x + 2y = 5; 2x - 3y = 7. Hence, the given lines are intersecting. So, the given pair of linear equations has exactly one solution and therefore it is consistent.

How many solution S does the pair of equations 3x 2y 5 2x 3y 7 have?

From equation (i) and (ii), The following pair of linear equations 3x + 2y = 5 = 0 and 2x - 3y = 7 have a unique solution.

Is the pair of linear equations 3x y 40 4x 2y 50 consistent or inconsistent Why?

1 Answer. Given equations are consistent. Hence the linear equations are consistent.

How do you know if two lines are consistent or inconsistent?

A system with exactly one solution is called a consistent system. To identify a system as consistent, inconsistent, or dependent, we can graph the two lines on the same graph and see if they intersect, are parallel, or are the same line.
