The forthcoming 2023 Ram 5500 will gain the same upgrades as the Ram 4500 model. No heavy-duty truck commercial competitor, according to reports, will be able to match 2023 5500 next year. Naturally, Ford and Chevrolet produce outstanding heavy-duty vehicles. Ram, on the other hand, excels in categories such as interior sophistication and ride quality.
The Ram 4500’s large cabin and tremendous towing capacity are what we enjoy about it. This model has a plethora of high-tech features, including a 12-inch infotainment touchscreen. The performance is also excellent, and here’s all you need to know about this model.
Ram 5500 Facelift
The 2023 Ram 5500 will have a more streamlined design, comparable to the Ram 1500. Directional LED headlights complement the split grille. Ram claims that each trim level has its distinctive grille. Upper trim levels include a more aesthetically pleasing grille and additional visual elements.
Furthermore, the Ram 5500 will have smaller taillights and a bed arrangement similar to the Ram 3500. While it is not a major overhaul, various cosmetic changes have been made. We’re still waiting for more information from the manufacturer.
Interior Features
The forthcoming Ram 5500 2023 features an exceptionally high number of premium materials. Furthermore, the cabin is exceptionally spacious and outfitted with a plethora of basic modern amenities. Cabs are available in three sizes: a single cab, a four-door Crew Cab, and a gigantic Mega Cab. While the interiors of rivals like Ford, Chevrolet, and GMC are adequate, the Ram’s is superior.
The 12-inch touchscreen on the Ram is the largest in the heavy-duty market. It is also outfitted with standard equipment. Wi-Fi, Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, and the most up-to-date safety features are all available. Thanks to that, Ram 5500 truck will be one of the safest models in the segment.
Transmission, Towing and Payload Capacities
Two engine options are available for the 2023 Ram 5500, which is set to be on sale next year. The base engine is a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 with 410 hp and 440 lb-ft of torque. This engine is only available with four-wheel drive and is mated to an outstanding eight-speed automatic transmission. There are numerous options for combining a well-known turbodiesel Cummins engine with rear- or four-wheel drive systems. As a result, the Ram 4500 will produce 370 hp and 1070 lb-ft of twists.
A six-speed automatic transmission is also available. The new Ram 5500’s Cummins engine has a towing capacity of 37,080 pounds and a payload capacity of more than 8000 pounds. This heavy-duty commercial truck with a gasoline engine tows almost 15,000 pounds.
2023 Ram 5500 Price and Release Date
The new 2023 Ram 5500 will cost roughly $41,000 when it is released next year. According to our information, Ram will introduce a full heavy-duty lineup sometime next fall. More information, however, should be accessible by the end of the current year. If you are looking for a versatile workhorse, this model is definitely the way to go.
