What comes standard with the 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor

The 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor comes with the twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter V6 engine that cranks out 450 hp and 510 lb-ft of torque. It’s paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, and we know.

It falls short compared to the Ford F-150 Raptor R with its supercharged 5.2-liter V8 Predator engine with 700 hp and 640 lb-ft of torque. But it should provide savings! The 2023 F-150 Raptor starts at about $75,755, while the Raptor R has an MSRP of $109,405.

But the 2022 Raptor begins at around $70,555, so there is a $5,000 price jump. But the cost covers the new standard 801A equipment group, which includes everything from the 800A package, the Convenience Group, and the Torsen front differential.

According to Muscle Cars and Trucks, the package adds:

  • BlueCruise
  • LED Projector with Dynamic Bending headlamps
  • Rain-sensing wipers
  • Forward sensors
  • Power/Tilt Telescoping steering column with memory
  • Universal garage opener
  • Bang and Olufsen unleashed 18 peaker system
  • Heated steering wheel
  • Heated seats in the second row
  • Wireless charging pad
  • Full leather upholstery with suede inserts
  • FORD tailgate applique

How is the F-150 Raptor built for off-roading?

The 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor features a fully boxed high-strenght steel frame with a heavy-duty military-grade aluminum alloy and composite body. It has a five-link rear suspension that was specifically developed for the Raptor.

It’s designed to take Baja 1,000 racing to the next level with a suspension that enhances the capability and performance with more wheel travel than any Raptor before.

The suspension features extra long trailing arms to maintain better axle position over challenging terrain and 24-inch coil springs, which are the longest in the class.

While 35-inch BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO2 tires come standard, you can upgrade to the 37-inch set. The 37-inch tires increase the ground clearance from 12 to 13 inches.

New FOX Live Valve internal bypass shocks contain electronic control technology with position-sensitive damping adjustability. The 3.1-inch-diameter anodized aluminum shock bodies contain low-friction shock fluid.

The Raptor has a 33.1-degree approach angle, 23.9-degree departure angle, and a 22.7-degree breakover angle. It provides 14 inches of wheel travel in the front and 15 inches in the rear.

Is the regular Raptor worth buying?

Yes, the 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor is an excellent option for racing across the desert, off-roading, and rock climbing. It can save you about $33,650 compared to the Raptor R, and you still get an insanely capable beast.

Sure, the price did increase, but it includes more standard off-roading and luxury comfort features than before. You’ll be pampered using the 12.0-inch display to adjust your off-roading settings.

The Terrain Management System has seven off-roading modes for Slippery, Tow/Haul, Sport, Normal, Off-Road, Baja, and Rock Crawl.

It automatically adjusts the steering, transfer case, stability control, active valve exhaust, active damping system, throttle mapping, and transmission shift points to provide an optimal performance.
