I just purchased word for mac, was using parallels before. I want to have word for mac be my default program when I click to open doc/docx files from my finder. But it keeps opening up my parallels program and going to the MS version of word. How can I set word for mac as my default program?

Select a file of that type in the Finder, choose Get Info from the File menu, change the Open With entry for it to the desired application, click on Change All, and confirm the action.
