You can easily spend hours inside the Sorento. The interior of this mid-size SUV comes with good build quality, plenty of features, and excellent materials. The base LX trim has an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that gets Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. It also has steering-mounted audio controls and a decent six-speaker audio system.

The 2023 Sorento gets more features added to its line-up. The new features are available starting from the S grade, which now comes with a wireless smartphone charger. In addition, the EX gets an 8-way power adjustment for the front passenger seat and a frame-less rear view mirror. Finally, the SX will come with a 12.3-inch touchscreen panel, power-folding exterior mirrors, and rain-sensing wipers.

The SX-Prestige, the range-topping grade of the 2023 Sorento, does not get any new features. However, it will now come as standard with all-wheel drive, which will add gloss black accents to the SUV's exterior and a different design for the bumpers. Higher grades of the 2023 Sorento will get the turbocharged version of this 2.5-liter engine which produces 281 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque. It has an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission and is available in front and all-wheel drive configurations. Get the towing package with the 2.5-liter turbo, and the Sorento will tow up to 3500 pounds for you. The base 2.5-liter non-turbo can still tow up to 2000 pounds.

The hybrid models of the Sorento get a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that's paired with a single electric motor. The combined power output of this setup is 227 horsepower with 250 lb-ft of torque. Transmission duties are taken care of by an 8-speed automatic, and all-wheel drive is on offer.

The Kia Sorento continues to offer decent fuel-economy figures. EPA rates the non-turbo 2.5-liter for 24 MPG in the city, 29 MPG on the highway, and 26 MPG combined. These figures drop to 23 MPG in the city, 25 MPG on the highway, and 24 MPG combined for the all-wheel driver version.

The turbocharged version of the 2.5-liter four-cylinder is rated to offer 22 MPG in the city, 29 MPG on the highway, and 25 MPG combined in its front-wheel drive configuration. However, in the all-wheel drive guise, these figures drop to 21 MPG in the city, 28 MPG on the highway, and 24 MPG combined.

Adding the X-Line package to this trim will take its MSRP to $43,590.
